There are 9 Solutions wefix recommend to our clients to follow these steps to overcome slow running computer.
1) Disable Unnecessary Programs
the reason behind slow running of computer is many programs running in background and front end
to overcome this problem
WEFIX recommend to disable Unnecessary programs from your computer to do that just follow our-steps
press CTRL+SHIFT+ESCAPE and go to PROCESSES Tab and you can observe which program is using how much cpu and memory
and you can disable unnecessary programs from PROCESSES TAB.
And also disable Start up Programs which are not necessary,To do this
Press CTRL+SHIFT+ESCAPE
and go to Services Tab and disable unnecessary start up programs from service Tab.
2) Delete Temporary Files
Delete the temporary files to improve Processor speed
To do this press windows + R and type temp and hit enter and delete all temporary files from hard disk of your computer
and once again type %temp% in run window and hit enter and delete all temporary files from hard disk of your computer
3) Disk Cleanup
press windows + R and type cleanmgr and select the drive which you would like to cleanup and click on ok option to cleanup the disk
4) Update Drivers (windows 11 Users)
to update your computer drivers follows below steps to Update Drivers of your PC.
Window updates > Advance Options > Optional Updates
5) OS Update
it is nothing but windows update, Update your Windows to run smoothly and securely from virus attacks
To do this just follow our steps
settings > windows update > check for update
and it will download latest windows updates from cloud using internet as well as security updates to keep your system securly.
6) Virus Scan
it is madatory to scan your system to prevent from malware and virus which are going attack on your computer
to solve this follow this steps
type windows security in search bar and open Windows security go to virus and threat protection tab and cick on quick scan option
after scanning of virus if any files are corrupted it can recommend for action to take on it.
7) Test hard disk condition
It is mandatory to check hard disk health to go forward steps in Computer running slow
to check hard disk condition for bad sector
go to search bar and type COMMAND PROMT and run it as Administrator and type chkdsk and hit space bar and type the drive which you would like to check for bad sectors in Caps letter and type colon (:)
For Examle : chkdsk D:
and hit enter, you see the bad sector at ending of the command promt page.if the bad sectors are 0 your disk is running in good performance. if exceed of bad sector may effect to hard disk
health.
8) Disk Fragmentation
By doing fragmentation to disk which leads to optimization of drives which will run smoothly.by doing fragmentation your drives helps computer to run more efficiently
To do disk Fragmentation go to seacrch bar and type optimise drives and select the drive which you would like to fragmentation and click on optimize option.
By doing fragmentation the data is stored in different sector to optimize your drive and work efficiently with processor.
9) WEFIX SOLUTION
Apart from these 8 solutions if problem is not resolved we recommend, Upgrade RAM and as well as If you are using HDD we recommend to use SSD instead of Using HDD which can improve better performance than HDD.And you can overcome from system running slowly problem.
